Privacy & Professional Standards
How I Handle Your Information
When you reach out for a consultation or work with me on a project, I collect basic contact information—name, email, phone number, project address. That information stays with me. I don't sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for anything beyond our work together.
If you download a guide or sign up for my email list, I use that information to send you helpful content about custom homes and remodels. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Project Information and Confidentiality
Your project details, budget, and site information are confidential. I don't discuss your project with anyone outside the team working on it—builders, engineers, consultants—without your permission.
If I feature a completed project in my portfolio or use it for marketing, I get your written approval first. No surprises.
Professional Standards
I'm a licensed architect in Washington State (License #12520). I carry professional liability insurance and follow the standards set by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).
My work is guided by three principles:
Transparency
I explain tradeoffs clearly. If something will cost more, take longer, or create challenges, you'll know before we commit. No hidden agendas.
Independent Oversight
I don't take commissions from builders, product suppliers, or contractors. My recommendations are based on what serves your project, not what benefits me financially.
Long-Term Thinking
I design for how you'll live in the home for years, not what's trending now. That means honest conversations about durability, maintenance, and future flexibility.
How I Work With Builders and Consultants
I coordinate with builders, engineers, and other consultants as part of the design and construction process. That requires sharing relevant project information—drawings, specs, site details. Everyone involved signs contracts that protect your interests.
I don't hand off projects and disappear. I stay involved through construction to make sure design intent is protected and problems get solved before they become expensive.
Website and Data
This website uses basic analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they found the site. I don't track individual users or collect personal data unless you voluntarily provide it through a form or email.
If you email me or fill out a contact form, that information goes directly to me. It's not stored on third-party servers beyond standard email hosting.
Questions or Concerns
If you have questions about how I handle information or my professional standards, ask. I'm happy to explain.
